Assessment First

Start With a Free English Assessment

English difficulties rarely look like "bad English." They look like a child who understands a story but cannot write about it, who has memorised grammar rules but freezes when asked to speak, or who reads every word on a page yet misses the meaning behind them.

The free 30-minute online assessment separates these strands. A specialist tutor listens to your child read, looks at a short writing sample, and has a short conversation with them, then tells you exactly which skill needs work: decoding, comprehension, grammar, composition or spoken confidence.

Classes then target that strand directly. A child who is strong in comprehension but weak in writing gets a very different plan from one who reads slowly, even if both scored the same on a school test.

Choose Your English Format

For English specifically, a batch of max 10 gives children real speaking partners, while 1-on-1 is best for intensive writing feedback and exam composition prep.

Why Live English Tuition Works

Language is a skill, not a subject, and skills are built by doing, with feedback. A worksheet can mark a sentence wrong, but only a live tutor can explain why it sounds wrong, offer a few better versions, and hear your child try again until it sounds natural.

Speaking confidence especially cannot be self-taught. Children often study English for years without ever having a real conversation in it. Live online tuition creates a safe weekly space where your child speaks, makes mistakes, and is corrected kindly, which is the exact process by which fluency actually forms.

Writing improves the same way, through draft, feedback and rewrite. A tutor who reads your child's actual sentences every week catches errors that have become habits, the kind a school teacher marking forty essays at once simply does not have time to catch.

English Tuition Questions, Answered

All four: reading, writing, grammar and speaking. The free assessment identifies which strands need the most work, and the learning plan weights class time accordingly, for example more composition practice for a strong reader who writes weakly.
Any country. English tuition is 100% online, and classes are scheduled around your family's time zone, so your child can join from anywhere in the world.
Yes. Attending an English-medium school does not always mean every strand of English has been fully mastered, a child can read fluently but still struggle with composition, or speak confidently but write weakly. The free assessment finds the specific strand that needs work, whatever the schooling background.
A batch of never more than 10 students gives your child real peers to talk to, which works well for building speaking confidence. 1-on-1 is a better fit for intensive writing feedback and exam composition prep, where full tutor attention matters more than peer interaction. The learning plan will recommend the better starting point.
Tutors work alongside your child's existing school curriculum, whether that is a national syllabus, Cambridge, IB or another board, rather than teaching a separate, unrelated course. The learning plan targets the specific strand that needs work within that same curriculum.
Improvement is tracked against the specific strand identified in the assessment, whether that is reading fluency, writing structure, grammar accuracy or spoken confidence. Parents receive regular updates plus a monthly progress review, so change is visible even before it shows up in a school grade.
