Your child can start at YCA from Grade 1, around age 6, right through to Grade 10, around age 16. We group students by grade and skill level, not just age, so every child learns at a pace that suits them.
No prior experience is required for any of YCA's coding classes for kids. Most students join as complete beginners, and our instructors build every course from the ground up.
YCA offers both online coding classes and in-person coding classes in Kathmandu. Online classes run live over video call from anywhere in Nepal, and in-person classes take place at our learning centre in Sankhamul.
Beyond programming itself, your child builds logical thinking, problem-solving, and creative confidence. Every YCA course is project-based, so your child finishes with something real they built.
Yes, YCA offers a free 45-minute trial class before you pay for anything. Your child joins one full live class with a real instructor and works on a small project.
YCA's curriculum tracks closely with where Nepal's own education system is heading. The Curriculum Development Centre has already added AI, Python, and cybersecurity to the Grade 9 to 10 syllabus, and YCA's courses in these subjects give your child a head start.
